Manila Set To Host 2007 WPC
MATCHROOM Sport are delighted to confirm that the 2007 World Pool Championship will again be held in Manila, Philippines.
The event was staged there last year and was a resounding success with home player Ronato Alcano thrilling the crowds at the Philippine International Convention Center by winning the tournament.
Barry Hearn, the Matchroom Sport chairman, made a trip to Manila to sign the contract on February 28, 2007, in front of Philippines president Gloria Arroyo at the Sofitel Hotel (pictured right).
